Quality Engineer

About this role

We are seeking a self-driven and a highly passionate QE to join our Engineering team who will be responsible for testing systems which serve as Account Master and Trader Master for business functions. These include onboarding new Trading Groups and Accounts which are then referred by other downstream applications for trading, reporting and accounting purpose.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with development, design, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, discuss issues, and provide feedback on design and functionality
  • Identify, document, and report software defects, and work with developers to reproduce document and manage defects
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the test automation framework to increase overall test coverage of the project
  • Take full ownership of and maintain the QA environment
  • Work with developers on improving system testability and managing change introduction to testing environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field in STEM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details to be able to conduct extensive manual and automated testing
  • Proficiency in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes while dealing with large volumes of data
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant financial services or banking industry experience
  • Strong experience with at least 1 web automation tool/library Selenium, Playwright
  • Strong API Test Automation using Postman/ Rest Assured / Rest Sharp/System.Net or similar tools
  • Experience with continuous testing and continuous delivery
  • Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems - must be able to run and understand complex queries.
  • Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency, resourcefulness and independence
  • Excellent communication to be able to collaborate and provide detailed test reports to stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience working with applications running on AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Experience working with Appian, Solace, Kafka, Elastic/Kibana
  • Willingness to learn C# or other languages as per the project need
