Job Description – VMC Programmer

Position: VMC Programmer

Department: Production / Machine Shop

Location: nandesari vadodara

Experience Required: 2–5 years (VMC Programming & Operation)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and modify CNC/VMC programs using CAM software ( SolidCAM,NX CAM).
  • Set up VMC machine parameters, tools, offsets, and fixtures as per job requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, GD&T standards.
  • Optimize machining programs for accuracy, tool life, and production efficiency.
  • Conduct trial runs and first-piece inspection to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform regular machine checks, tool selection, and tool life monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary corrections in programs.
  • Maintain proper documentation of programs and job setup sheets.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC programming (G-codes & M-codes).
  • Hands-on experience in CAM software (mention software your company uses).
  • Ability to operate and set up VMC machines independently.
  • Good understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments: Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
  • Ability to work with tight tolerances and complex machining jobs.
  • Good problem-solving attitude and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Production, Tool & Die, or relevant field.

Salary Range: As per industry standards and candidate experience.Working Hours: SHIFT WISE
