Reports to: Medical Director / Chief of Medicine

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Gastroenterologist to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the digestive system, perform endoscopic procedures, and provide both inpatient and outpatient care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality and personalized patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder
  • Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests including colonoscopies, endoscopies, and biopsies
  • Perform therapeutic endoscopic procedures such as polypectomy, variceal banding, dilation, etc.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for patients with chronic GI conditions (e.g., IBD, IBS, GERD, hepatitis)
  • Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and primary care physicians
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulations
  • Educate patients on preventive care and lifestyle modifications
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the practicing state
  • Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology
  • Proficiency in performing GI procedures and interpreting diagnostic results
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced endoscopic procedures (e.g., ERCP, EUS)
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Research experience or interest in academic teaching (if applicable)

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Hospital, outpatient clinic, or specialty medical center
  • May involve evening, weekend, or on-call responsibilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300, ₹500,000.00 per month
