Key Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and maintaining advanced Android applications, often working with popular frameworks like Kotlin and Java
- Writing clean, scalable, and well-optimized code, conducting unit testing, and participating in code reviews.
- Provide technical direction, mentor developers, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Working closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, design, and implement new features.
- Actively contribute to the development process by writing code, implementing features, and fixing bugs.
- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure the implementation of best practices to improve code quality and security.
- Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Implement and maintain applications on cloud platforms manage deployments efficiently.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as an escalation point for developers facing challenges.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years experience working on the Android Development
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Desire and skill in coaching more junior engineers
- Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK and Android development tools.
- Experience with Android UI design principles and patterns.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Kotlin, Java or Python
- Prior experience working with external data sources, APIs, third-party libraries, JSON and RESTFul technologies
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with database technologies like SQL Server.
- Knowledge of unit testing, code analysis tools, and secure coding practices
