Transportation Coordinator

Role & responsibilities

Primary Duties 60%

• Coordinate and monitor transportation activities within the NewAge network (USA & Canada)
• Primarily point-of-contact of all outbound transportation escalations to ensure timely and precisely
• resolution among external partners (DCs, carriers) and cross-functional teams
• Communicate with DCs, carriers, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time and low-cost
• pickup and deliveries at proper service levels
• Assist with the escalations that are related to the order fulfillment process (assist cross-functional
• teams and customers)
• Promptly resolve shipment and inventory issues as the first line of contact at NewAge
• Plan and track the shipments of products according to customer requirements
• Coordinate shipments for pickup and delivery, including managing necessary personnel, to
• maximize efficiency and profitability
• Research and evaluate new North American transportation partners, through online research,
• networking, and calling potential partners
• Build and maintain relationships with all service providers
• Maintaining and updating the Shipping SOPs
• Negotiate with suppliers, retailers, and delivery operators
• Track logistics trends and use the information to recommend changes
• Assist with any NewAge related projects and tasks above and beyond

Secondary Duties 40%

• Receive and prepare a high volume of vendor invoices for supplemental data and further
• payment processing by accounting, accurately and on a timely basis.
• Verify all information by cross referencing the invoice, contract, PO and related information.
• Interface with vendors directly as required.
• Guide accounts payables team in processing and approving the invoices accurately and in timely manner
• Invoice coding for payment
• Manage data quality including data cleansing, editing, validating and tagging
• Prepare estimated vs actual spend documentation for further review and analysis
• Maintain filing system of all invoice documents
• Ad hoc reports, research and data documents to support the Logistics department as requested
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
• Good understanding of the key policies impacting the process.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in business, supply chain logistics, or similar required.
• Minimum 2 - 1 years experience in operations related to supply chain and logistics
• Strong sense of urgency and prioritization with a focus on operational excellent (on-time pickup,
• on-time delivery, superior logistics service level)
• Extensive Basic understanding of North American domestic transportation network (LTL & FTL,
• linehaul & final-mile delivery) and able to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize & effectively participate in a team environment
• Experience in problem-solving and utilizing financial concepts to address the case-by-case scenarios of the services provided by NewAge
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills focusing on implementation and strategy development or project management experience are required.
• Advanced data analytical skills are required including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
• Familiarity with SAP Business One or equivalent ERP systems
• Strong English - written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work United States Eastern Time Zone Hours
