Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Invoice Validation and Data Entry Specialist to support our finance team based in Canada. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and of financial documents by validating invoices and performing data entry tasks with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Validation

  • Review and validate invoices for accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
  • Cross-check invoice details with purchase orders, contracts, and other relevant documents.
  • Flag discrepancies and liaise with the finance team to resolve issues.

Data Entry

  • Enter validated invoice details into the company's financial systems accurately.
  • Update and maintain records in spreadsheets or databases as required.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial data.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform regular checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of entered data.
  • Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial records.

Communication and Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Canadian finance team and other stakeholders to address queries or issues.
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure alignment with company procedures.

Preferred candidate profile:

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in invoice processing, data entry, or similar roles.
  • Experience working with international teams is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial management software.
  • Familiarity with invoice processing systems and tools is preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

Language Proficiency

  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).
  • Work Hours Aligning with Canadian finance team schedules (time zone flexibility may be required). 4 hours overlap with Montreal (EST).
  • Open to recruit from any industry other than call-centers.
  • Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate and is commensurate to relevant work/job experience.
  • Candidates willing to join immediately or with shorter notice periods shall be preferred.
