Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Learning:

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, and assignments, ensuring alignment with industry standards and academic guidelines.
  • Employ innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

  • Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.

  • Research and Innovation:

  • Conduct high-quality research in areas of mechanical engineering, leading to publications in reputed journals and conferences.

  • Secure funding through research grants and collaborate with industry/academia for research projects.

  • Supervise student research projects, including undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

  • Administrative and Professional Duties:

  • Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to academic and administrative decision-making.

  • Organize workshops, seminars, and industry interactions to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Assist in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with advancements in the field.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university (preferred).

  • Master's degree (M.E./M.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering or allied disciplines with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience:

  • 2-3 years of teaching, research, or industry experience in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.

  • Candidates with prior teaching experience at the university level or significant.

  • Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in one or more areas such as Thermal Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Processes, Robotics, or CAD/CAM.

  • Proficiency in software tools like ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teaching and collaboration.
  • Ability to design and conduct experiments in laboratory settings.

  • Demonstrated ability to publish research in peer-reviewed journals or present at conferences.
  • Experience in guiding student projects or mentoring.
