Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CMM machines to perform dimensional inspections of components and assemblies.
  • Create, edit, and validate CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, or similar.
  • Interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering drawings to develop accurate inspection strategies.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
  • Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final quality validation.
  • Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and verify root causes.
  • Support production and engineering in resolving quality-related issues.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure measuring equipment accuracy.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives (CAPA, RCCA, etc.).
  • Adhere to ISO/AS9100/IATF standards where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in CMM operation and inspection in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong expertise in GD&T interpretation.
  • Hands-on experience with CMM software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, etc.).
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
