About the Role

As a Data Discovery and Enrichment Expert I, you will provide support to the DDE team while developing data discovery and enrichment skills. You should have the ability to execute projects and initiatives with little oversight from others. You should create basic level insights and recommendations and have the ability to build and maintain knowledge assets under close supervision. You will also ensure that data curation is consistent with our policies and procedures, and you will be expected to operate our curation tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support senior Data Discovery and Enrichment experts
• Able to contribute significantly for defining policies and procedures
• Apply policies and procedures in the context of data
• Operate curation tools effectively and ensure data accuracy
• Recognize and improve personal productivity gaps

Requirements

• Ability to create and maintain dictionaries and taxonomies
• Understand QA standards and apply them consistently and suggest improvements
• Discover and evaluate sources of information, handle multiple languages, collect facts from various sources, and organize them coherently
• Strong research abilities being able to extract information from various sources
• Basic experience with relevant databases B
• Basic experience with project management or agile methodologies
• Keen eye for details, ability to spot errors and quickly rectify them
• Superior skills in conceptual understanding, analytical and logical reasoning, and learning abilities
• Superior skills in helping to develop data curation policies with policy expert
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new situations
• Ability to quickly acquire a thorough understanding of the technologies/workflows related to the role
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor documentation for different audiences and purposes
• MS degree and 5 years of relevant work experience
• Familiarity with the structure and activities of academic and research producing organizations and bibliographic databases covering research literature
