Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated GNSS Validation & Automation Engineer to join our team responsible for the validation and testing of GNSS and Assisted GNSS (A-GNSS) systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing test plans, creating automated test scripts, executing field/lab tests, analyzing performance data, and delivering high-quality test reports. You will validate a range of GNSS/A-GNSS functionalities that impact real-world navigation accuracy, robustness, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain test plans and test cases for validating GNSS and A-GNSS functionalities based on product specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform functional validation of:
  • Time to First Fix (TTFF): Cold, warm, and hot start performance.
  • Signal acquisition and tracking across GNSS constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS).
  • Positioning accuracy (horizontal and vertical) in varying environmental and motion conditions.
  • Multi-constellation and multi-frequency support, including L1, L5, and dual-band operations.
  • A-GNSS support, including SUPL-based, Control Plane (CP), and User Plane (UP) assisted positioning.
  • Sensitivity and weak signal testing in urban canyon, indoor, and obstructed environments.
  • Power consumption during different GNSS modes.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Set up, configure, and operate GNSS test environments, including signal simulators, record/playback systems, and OTA test setups.
  • Conduct drive tests and field tests in real-world environments (urban, rural, indoor, multipath).
  • Collect and analyze GNSS logs .
  • Collaborate with system architects, firmware, and hardware engineers to troubleshoot and isolate issues.
  • Document and communicate results through detailed test reports, dashboards, and defect reports.
  • Continuously improve validation coverage, test automation, and overall test efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in GNSS and/or A-GNSS validation, system testing, or automation.
  • Solid understanding of GNSS systems and signals, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou.
  • Experience using GNSS signal simulators (e.g., Spirent, R&S, Spectracom) and/or real-world test tools.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages for test automation.
  • Understanding of A-GNSS protocols (e.g., SUPL, LPP, RRC) and telecom standards (LTE/5G).
  • Availability to join immediately or within 30 days.
