About the Role

Work with our hardware and embedded team to design, prototype, test, and validate electronics for next-gen digital instrument clusters and telematics for EVs. You'll touch the full lifecycle—from schematic tweaks to bench bring-up, CAN validation, and EMI/EMC prep.

What You'll Do

  • Design & Prototyping
  • Assist in schematic capture and BoM updates for MCU/SoC, power, sensor, and comms blocks.
  • Support PCB layout reviews (DFM/DFA/EMI considerations) and quick-turn prototypes.
  • Bring-Up & Validation
  • Bench bring-up with PSU, DMM, scope, logic analyzer; basic board rework (0402/SOT/TQFP ok).
  • Validate power rails, clocks, reset, high-speed interfaces (MIPI/LVDS, USB), and peripherals (CAN, UART, SPI, I²C).
  • Testing & Compliance Prep
  • Execute test plans for functional, thermal, and environmental checks.
  • Help with pre-compliance for EMI/EMC (test setup, fixture prep, log capture).
  • Embedded Support
  • Flash/bootstrap test firmware; exercise drivers (sensors, IMU, GPS, BMS lines).
  • Log and triage hardware–software issues with the Android/AOSP team.
  • Documentation
  • Maintain schematics/BoM change logs, test reports, and bring-up guides.
  • Create clear lab notes and issue tickets with reproducible steps and waveforms.

What You'll Work With (Typical Stack)

  • Silicon/Comms:
    STM32/ESP32 or similar MCUs; Qualcomm QCM-series bring-up exposure; CAN/CAN-FD, UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO.
  • Sensors/Interfaces:
    IMU, GNSS, battery sensing, display (MIPI DSI/LVDS), camera modules (MIPI CSI).
  • Tools:
    Altium/KiCad, Oscilloscope, LA, PSU, hot air/rework, multimeter; Git/Jira/Confluence.
  • Standards:
    Basic ISO 7637/16750 awareness; IPC-7351 footprints; ESD/EMI best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Pursuing BE/BTech/ME in ECE/EEE/Instrumentation (or recent graduate).
  • Solid fundamentals in analog/digital electronics, power, and signal integrity basics.
  • Comfortable reading datasheets/schematics; can probe safely and interpret waveforms.
  • Basic PCB experience (KiCad/Altium)
    or
    strong lab/bring-up experience.
  • Clear communication and disciplined documentation.
