Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and self-directed Salesforce Developer to join our Product Implementation team. In this role, you will work with a distributed engineering team to design and develop Maxval's flagship product, Symphony—an Intellectual Property Management Software (IPMS) built on Salesforce. Symphony is used by high-profile customers, and you will play a leading role in developing and enhancing the product to meet customer requirements. You will focus on best practices for development, source control management, code reviews, and unit testing while contributing to the development of new features and product enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work with customers, internal business groups, and product management to design and develop new product features.
• Solution Architecture: Discuss requirements with customers and conceptualize solutions, proposing solution architecture.
• Technical Discussions: Participate in technical discussions and influence decisions on configuration vs. customization.
• Documentation: Prepare design documents, including architecture, APIs, and custom objects.
• Team Management: Lead a Salesforce development team (including offshore resources) in an Agile environment. Experience managing sprints in Jira is a plus.
• Custom Functionality Development: Utilize SOQL APIs, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, and other development tools to build custom features.
• Best Practices: Ensure development aligns with SFDC governor limits and follows best practice guidelines.
• Integrations: Design and develop integrations from to upstream and downstream applications using APIs.
• Master Data Management: Implement best practices for master data management in
• Sprint Reviews: Lead sprint review sessions to collect stakeholder feedback on work in progress.
• DevOps and Deployment: Drive improvements in team DevOps and deployment processes.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot escalated support issues, perform analysis, and implement short- and long-term solutions.
• Mentorship: Mentor team members through design and code reviews and provide ad hoc assistance.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience on the platform.
• 5+ years of experience with Visualforce, Apex, Salesforce Lightning, and SOQL.
• 5+ years of experience building integrations between systems and developing REST or SOAP APIs.
• Experience in building and delivering custom enterprise applications in a technical role.

Technical Skills:

• Deep technical knowledge of Salesforce products, features, and ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, testing, and operational excellence.
• Hands-on experience with SSJS, SQL, APIs,
• Strong technical knowledge in Salesforce Administration.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer.
• Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder.
• Certifications in Advanced Development.
