Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement infection control policies: Create and enforce policies to prevent and control infections.

2. Surveillance and monitoring: Conduct surveillance and monitoring of hospital-acquired infections.

3. Outbreak investigation and management: Investigate and manage outbreaks of infectious diseases.

4. Education and training: Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices.

5. Data analysis and reporting: Analyze data and prepare reports on infection control activities.

6. Policy development and review: Develop and review policies related to infection control.

7. Education and training: Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control practices, policies, and procedures.

8. Collaboration with teams: Work with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare staff, administrators, and laboratory personnel, to ensure infection control practices are integrated into patient care.

9. Data analysis and reporting: Analyze data on infections, track trends, and prepare reports on infection control activities.

10. Policy compliance: Ensure compliance with infection control policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

11. Patient safety: Promote patient safety by preventing and controlling infections.

Infection Control Nurses play a critical role in preventing and controlling infections in hospitals, ensuring patient safety, and promoting quality care.

*The incumbent should have ICN certificate and GNM, B.sc Nursing, P.BSC, M.SC Nursing is mandatory.
