Role & responsibilities

  • Assist anaesthesiologists and nurses in preparing patients for anaesthesia administration
  • Preparing intravenous drugs and storing and refrigerating medication and anesthetics
  • Set up, operating, and maintaining anesthesia equipment, including checking and replacing anesthesia gas tanks, and cleaning and sterilizing machines
  • Prepare and administer medications under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and end-tidal CO2 levels during procedures
  • Assist with airway management, intubation, and extubation procedures
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
  • Respond quickly and effectively to any changes in patient condition or equipment malfunction
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures, medications administered, and patient responses
  • Keep the anaesthesia workspace clean and organized, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment
  • Stay updated on advancements in anaesthesia technology and techniques

  • Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge
