Job Description Senior Engineer (Electrical)

Department: Ropeway

Reports To: AGM Ropeway

Role Objective

To lead, plan, and execute all Electrical and Control System works for the Ropeway project, ensuring design compliance, reliable operation, and complete integration of power distribution, drive control, safety, and automation systems with mechanical and civil interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execution of work as per the electrical design drawings, SLDs, earthing, and control wiring diagrams.
  • Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams for cable routing and integration.
  • Supervise erection of transformers, LT/HT panels, MCCs, PCCs, and cable trays.
  • Manage installation of PLCs, SCADA panels, drives (VFDs), soft starters, and sensors.
  • Conduct electrical testing insulation resistance, HV testing, relay calibration, loop checks.
  • Commissioning of power and control systems with OEM representatives.
  • Trouble shooting, O&M of the ropeway system.

Key Skills & Technical Expertise

  • Expertise in HT/LT distribution, PLC & SCADA systems, automation, and synchronization.
  • Knowledge of VFDs, control logic, and motor load management systems.
  • Experience with DG synchronization, UPS, and redundant power systems.
  • Familiarity with MEP system coordination, HVAC and Fire Alarm power integration.
  • Experience of optical fiber and communication systems.
  • Experience of 10 years in ropeway O&M of monocable detachable grip type ropeways.
  • Experience of CEN standard ropeway projects/O&M will be preferrable.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years or Diploma with 10 years of ropeways work experience.

Experience: 10 years in Ropeways O&M/Projects.

Preferred Exposure: CEN standard ropeways, working experience in high rise structures/mountains.
