Turner Operator – Job Description

Position: Turner Operator

Department: Production / Machine Shop

Location: [Abhi fine products]

Experience: 1–3 years

Job Summary:

A Turner Operator is responsible for operating lathe machines to perform turning operations on metal components as per engineering drawings and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate conventional or CNC lathe machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and job instructions.
  • Set up tools, workpieces, and fixtures properly.
  • Measure finished parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Maintain machine cleanliness and ensure proper lubrication.
  • Follow safety standards and maintain quality in all operations.
  • Report any machine- or tool-related issues to the supervisor.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of lathe machine operation.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of measurement instruments.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification:

  • ITI / Diploma in Turner / Mechanical or related field.

Salary Range:

  • ₹15,000–₹27,000 per month (based on experience and skill level).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹27,000.00 per month
