Role: YRS Teaching Fellow Young Research Scholars Program

Plaksha University is seeking a passionate and academically accomplished individual to join as Teaching Fellow for the Young Research Scholars (YRS) Program. This initiative is designed to introduce high school students (Grades 912) to academic research through a structured and engaging curriculum. The program blends live teaching, mentorship, and project-based learning to foster critical thinking and academic writing skills.

  • Provide academic mentorship to assigned high school students throughout the program.
  • Guide students in framing research questions, identifying credible sources, and developing strong arguments.
  • Support students in writing, editing, and structuring their academic papers.
  • Assist faculty in course administration and content creation, including presentation decks, assignments, and pedagogical materials.
  • Manage and utilize the Learning Management System (LMS/Moodle) for assignments, resources, grading, and communication.
  • Conduct one-on-one office hours with each student during the program.
  • Follow up with students in case of absenteeism and ensure consistent engagement.
  • Provide timely doubt-clearing, assignment reviews, and feedback during weekdays.
  • Conduct live online tutorial sessions (2 hours each on Saturday and Sunday).
  • Ensure all sessions are recorded for accessibility and reference.

Education and Experience

  • Master's or PhD degree in any discipline.
  • At least two (2) published research papers as a co-author in academic journals or conferences.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, preferably Moodle.
  • Availability for the full 6-week program.
  • Approximate time commitment: 8 hours per week.
