Job Title: Junior Embedded QA Engineer

Department: Embedded Systems / Quality Assurance

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Embedded QA Engineer to join our embedded systems team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, stability, and performance of embedded software and hardware products through systematic testing and validation. This role offers a great opportunity to grow your expertise in embedded systems, testing frameworks, and automation under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities


•Execute test plans for embedded software and firmware components.


•Perform functional, regression, and system-level testing on embedded devices.


•Develop and maintain test cases, scripts, and documentation.


•Collaborate with firmware and hardware engineers to identify, reproduce, and report defects.


•Conduct testing using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and serial interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).


•Support integration testing of hardware and firmware modules.


•Participate in design reviews to ensure testability and quality standards are met.


•Assist in automating repetitive tests and building test frameworks for embedded environments.


•Track and verify bug fixes and perform re-validation.

Requirements


•Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.


•Experience: 1–4 years of experience in embedded systems or software testing.


•Technical Skills:

oUnderstanding of C/C++ programming (basic debugging a plus).

oKnowledge of microcontrollers, RTOS, and embedded Linux is advantageous.

oFamiliarity with test equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer).

oExperience with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).

oBasic scripting skills (Python or Shell preferred).


•Soft Skills:

oStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

oAttention to detail and a systematic approach to testing.

oGood communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)


•Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).


•Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or Bluetooth.


•Exposure to automated test frameworks for embedded systems.
