Job Summary

We are looking for an SAP BTP CAPM Java Developer to build and deploy cloud-native applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). This role requires strong expertise in CAP (Java), CDS, OData, HANA Cloud, and integrating with SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

  • Build backend services using SAP CAP (Java)
  • Develop data models using CDS
  • Implement OData v4 / REST services
  • Configure and deploy applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry/Kyma)
  • Integrate applications with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba etc.
  • Configure XSUAA, roles, scopes, and security artifacts
  • Work with SAP HANA Cloud (tables, views, SQL)
  • Create MTAs and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Use BTP services: Destination, Connectivity, Job Scheduler, Event Mesh
  • Handle BTP transport and project lifecycle
  • Log, monitor, optimize cloud applications
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Java (Spring Boot concepts helpful)
  • Hands-on with CAP (Java)
  • Strong CDS modeling
  • SAP BTP services (CF, Kyma, Destinations, XSUAA)
  • Integration with SAP systems via OData/REST APIs
  • Database experience with SAP HANA Cloud
  • Good understanding of JWT, OAuth, and security concepts
  • Experience with Git, MTA builds, CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with SAP Build Apps
  • SAP Workflow / SAP Event Mesh
  • SAP UI5 / Fiori fundamentals
  • Multi-tenant CAP apps
  • SAP Certified Development Associate – BTP
