Overview The Java Camunda Lead plays a pivotal role in driving the development and deployment of business process automation solutions within the organization. This position is instrumental in leveraging the Camunda BPM platform to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance business agility. As a leader in the development team, the Java Camunda Lead is responsible for overseeing the architecture, design, and implementation of process-driven applications that meet both business and technical requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, quality assurance, and DevOps, is crucial to ensure seamless integration and execution of process-related projects. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with Java and Camunda, showcasing their ability to deliver high-quality software solutions while driving best practices in software development and team collaboration. This role is not only about coding but also about mentoring and guiding junior developers, making it a blend of technical and leadership responsibilities that establishes the foundation for successful process automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of applications using Camunda BPM.
  • Architect scalable solutions that integrate with existing enterprise applications.
  • Manage the full software development life cycle, from requirement analysis to deployment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine business process requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
  • Review and enhance code quality through thorough code reviews and testing.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing Camunda workflows for performance improvements.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for process automation.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvements.
  • Mentor junior developers on best practices and coding standards.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards throughout development.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends in process automation and BPM.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to disseminate best practices.
  • Document workflows, processes, and technical specifications effectively.
  • Coordinate with DevOps for deployment strategies and automation.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Camunda BPM.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in Spring Framework and related technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Adept at working in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Certifications in Java or BPM tools are advantageous.
