Experience, Educational Qualification

• BE / B Tech / Engineering from a reputed university.
• PMP / Prince2/PMI Agile Certification/SCRUM Alliance Certified or equivalent is desirable

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on product management experience for Enterprise IT systems, with proven expertise in business requirements gathering & analysis, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in global projects or in software Product Company.
• Understanding of biometric technologies is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Agile/Waterfall software engineering methodologies, principles and practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Consulting, Process Improvement, Applications, and Project Management in the field of Information Technology.
• Must have understanding and working experience of SDLC and Agile-based project delivery, project management.
• Must have working knowledge of Productivity tools such as Jira or its equivalent.
• Must have experience in grooming use-case stories, technical requirement specifications (SRS/ SDD), functional requirement specifications (FRS) and Non-Functional requirement specifications (including security, availability and performance criteria).
• Must have knowledge in maintaining Live documentation of Software Products
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to make and execute immediate decisions.
• Must have strong experience of developing Sprint Goals and Delivery Timelines.
• Excellent analytical and strategic management skills.
• A sense of urgency, passion and understanding of overall business priorities is essential.

Job Profile

• Manages the definition of all the software modules within UID system. This include defining detail functional & technical requirements, interacting with the management team to create product delivery plan, interacting with engineering teams on a day-to-day basis to provide inputs on functionality and features, interacting with user base to collect, prioritize, and streamline requirements
• Product manager will be responsible for defining product strategy and definition of all the assigned UIDAI software modules.
• The role seeks a high performer, with an analytic mindset, strong strategic management skills, an ability to work collaboratively, and a skill for getting things done.
• This position will interact closely with a variety of functional and technology areas within UIDAI, including engineering, creative services, marketing research, and field implementation teams.
• Gather requirements from the stakeholders and ensure its implementation through MSP
• Co-ordinate with Managed Application Service Provider (MSAP) to ensure that all the agreed processes are followed as per Industry practices
• Own key business and product metrics and drive major improvement through product development.
• Responsible for all the stages of Product / Software Development Life Cycle
• Overall ownership for all deliverables relating to the product/application software to be built for the UIDAI
• Create thorough and clear User Acceptance Criteria
• Co-ordinate with the testing team to ensure that the testing (functional, performance & security) is done as per the Test Plan; ensure requisite coverage of test case/scenarios
• Define user interface guidelines and work with user base to improve usability to address business needs.
• Responsible for key Project management knowledge areas like Scope, Risk, Quality, Human resource, Time, Cost and Communications
• Review various artefacts of Software Development viz. the Software Requirement Study, Software Design & Architecture
• Co-ordinate / own all the application audit activities
• Interact with the MSAP/other stakeholders in troubleshooting in resolution of issues relating to maintenance of a development and testing environment- including systems and procedures for source control, for UIDAI's software building, testing and document management
• Involve in project planning for sizing various components; defining and scheduling various sizing task, coordinating & scheduling interviews sessions with stakeholders;
• Responsible for planning the different Agile development sprints and managing the application backlog, high-level application requirements and sprint demonstrations;
• Responsible for evaluating current business processes, across all application tracks, for automation;
• Prepare, Review and Approve Product Requirement documents, including the Functional and Non-Functional specifications (including for security, performance) for all application releases;
• Responsible for managing the change management process, including conducting impact assessment on the application suite, ensuring the change request documentation is complete and collaborating with the development teams in implementing the changes;
• Responsible for developing functional requirement specifications, change request documentation.
• Collaborate with the development teams during the implementation of features, change requests and defect fixes.
