Role Overview

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all HR functions at the Coimbatore manufacturing unit. This role involves managing end-to-end HR operations, statutory compliance, workforce planning, employee engagement, and training initiatives. The HR Manager will ensure a compliant, efficient, and people-centric work environment for both factory and office employees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

  • Lead recruitment for factory staff, engineers, and support functions based in Coimbatore.
  • Coordinate with department heads to forecast manpower needs and maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Build strong employer branding to attract and retain talent locally.

2. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage employee records, payroll processing inputs, attendance, and leave management.
  • Ensure 100% statutory compliance with PF, ESI, Factories Act, and labor laws.
  • Draft and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.

3. Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Build a positive workplace culture through regular engagement activities.
  • Address employee grievances promptly and maintain harmonious industrial relations.
  • Design and implement reward and recognition initiatives.

4. Training & Development

  • Identify technical and soft-skill training needs for factory and office employees.
  • Organize safety awareness programs, leadership training, and skill enhancement workshops.
  • Partner with external trainers/institutions as required.

5. Performance & Talent Management

  • Implement a performance appraisal system based on KRAs/KPIs.
  • Support career growth plans and succession planning initiatives.
  • Guide managers in effective performance evaluation and feedback.

6. Health, Safety & Welfare

  • Monitor workplace safety and ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
  • Oversee welfare measures such as transport, canteen, and accommodation

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / Master's Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in HR, with exposure to manufacturing/engineering/construction industries.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, factory compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in handling both blue-collar and white-collar workforce.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management skills.
