Job Objective
As a ServiceNow Technical Lead, you will design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions while ensuring the platform's compliance, security, and performance. You will work closely with the Product Manager and development teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate complex requirements into scalable, automated solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, platform, and integrations.
  • Translate business outcomes into technical specifications and workflows.
  • Define and enforce development, security, documentation, and system health standards.
  • Manage patch and upgrade planning, scheduling, and implementation.
  • Lead quality assurance, test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Ensure platform stability through performance monitoring and proactive remediation.
  • Drive vendor issue resolution and maintain platform health.
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to coding/documentation standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and uphold best practices for development and testing.
  • Provide on-call production support to resolve incidents within SLA.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow releases and recommend platform improvements.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, IRM/GRC, and CSM modules.
  • Build complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client/server scripts using Flow Designer.
  • Develop robust integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, Integration Hub, and third-party connectors (Microsoft, AWS, Azure, Jira, etc.).
  • Maintain and enhance CMDB health and discovery capabilities.
  • Lead DevOps implementation — CI/CD pipelines, ATF, Git integration.
  • Participate in workshops to align platform features with business outcomes.
  • Identify automation opportunities and process improvements.
  • Prepare documentation: workflows, architecture diagrams, data models, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, data privacy, and audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in ServiceNow development and platform architecture.
  • Strong understanding of Configuration Management, CMDB, and CSDM.
  • Proven hands-on experience with ITSM, ITOM, IRM/GRC, HRSD, CSM, and/or custom applications.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
  • Exposure to AI Search, Virtual Agent, Performance Analytics, and Predictive Intelligence.
  • Advanced integration experience (Integration Hub, REST/SOAP, OAuth2, MID servers).
  • Familiarity with App Engine Studio, UI Builder, and Workspaces.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and proactive improvement mindset.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

  • Experience leading full project lifecycles and managing stakeholder engagement.
