Sr. Project Manager

Primary Role

Lead and manage complex, high-value projects from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Strategy

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies

Create and maintain detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) and project schedules

Establish project governance framework and decision-making processes

Align project objectives with organizational strategic goals

Project Execution & Delivery

Lead cross-functional teams members across multiple departments/locations

Monitor project progress and performance against established KPIs and success metrics

Manage project budget, ensuring cost optimization

Implement and oversee change management processes

Ensure quality assurance and compliance with organizational standards

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within project delivery methodology

Stakeholder Management

Serve as primary point of contact for assigned project-related communications

Manage relationships with C-level executives, clients, and external partners

Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and provide executive-level status reports

Negotiate project scope, timelines, and resources with internal and external stakeholders

Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts diplomatically

Present project updates to board members and senior leadership

Team Leadership

Build, mentor, and motivate high-performing project teams

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members

Identify skill gaps and coordinate training initiatives

Foster collaborative team environment and resolve team conflicts

Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability

Support career development of junior project managers and team leads

Risk & Issue Management

Proactively identify, assess, and prioritize project risks

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans

Escalate critical issues to senior management with recommended solutions

Maintain comprehensive risk and issue logs with regular updates

Conduct post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned

Resource Management

Forecast and allocate resources across multiple projects

Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency

Coordinate with functional managers for resource assignments

Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractors

Oversee procurement processes for project-related goods and services

Financial Management

Develop and manage project budgets with full P&L responsibility

Track and report financial performance including burn rate and ROI

Approve project expenditures within delegated authority limits

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Support business case development for new initiatives

Process & Methodology

Champion project management best practices and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)

Standardize project management processes and templates

Implement and maintain project management tools and systems

Drive adoption of new technologies and innovative approaches

Contribute to organizational PM maturity improvement

Reporting & Documentation

Create comprehensive project documentation including charters, plans, and closure reports

Maintain accurate project records in project management systems

Generate regular status reports, dashboards, and metrics for senior leadership

Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory documentation requirements

Develop and present business cases and project proposals

Strategic Contributions

Participate in portfolio planning and prioritization discussions

Contribute to organizational strategic planning initiatives

Identify new business opportunities through project insights

Support pre-sales activities and proposal development for strategic accounts

Mentor and develop junior project management talent
