Main Objective of the Role
Plan and conduct training sessions; participate in the development of a variety of in-service orientation programs, educational programs and services to meet the goals, objectives and requirements of Fortis health care, in particular for nursing department
Key Responsibilities
· Identify training needs of nursing staff and develop in service education training plans.
· Development of educational programs, presentations and / or patient education materials; modify and update existing educational programs and / or patient education materials or recommended modifications as appropriate.
· Conduct a variety of in-service orientation programs and educational programs for nursing personnel for all levels in Fortis health care.
· Conduct nursing induction, safety and other generalized training and ensures completion of orientation as expected.
· Select and organize innovative methods of teaching including films, slides, charts and nursing supplies and equipment to demonstrate improved patient care.
· Conduct ACLS + BLS Training round the year. Test and retest their knowledge and skills.
· Maintain required departmental records, reports and statistics as appropriate.
· Keep abreast of new developments in training techniques, methods and programs.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs.
· Coordinate educational programs for an assigned service line; serve an internal consultant for specialized clinical instruction.
· Advise CON, on observed areas that need improvement and continuous supervision to ensure safe and quality care to all patients.
· Prepare budget for teaching and learning aids.
· Conducts and assists in all types of audits for better patient care and clinical outcomes.
· Actively participates in policies and procedural development and implementation of new protocols.
· Attend relevant continuing education programs, staff development programs and grand rounds.
· Review current nursing literature and apprise Chief of Nursing, and other stakeholders for change in practices for improving patient satisfaction and safety.
· Actively participate in continuous nursing quality improvement program (NQIP) and work in close collaboration with all stakeholders for providing individual support for nurses as and when indicated.
· Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and as required by Chief of Nursing.
Preferred Education:
M.Sc. Nursing
Experience
5 to 7 years of experience in Nursing education in hospital.
Knowledge and Specific Skills
Knowledge of current developments in Nursing Considerable knowledge of laws and accreditation standards applicable to hospitals.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40, ₹50,000.00 per month
