Job Summary
The Foreman & Chargehand – HVAC & Ducting will oversee, coordinate, and execute all HVAC installation and ducting works at the project site. The role requires strong technical skills, manpower supervision, quality control, and the ability to deliver work as per approved drawings, project schedules, and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
HVAC & Ducting Installation

  • Supervise and execute installation of HVAC systems, including ducting, GI/PI ducts, chilled water piping, FCUs, AHUs, and exhaust systems.
  • Ensure duct fabrication and installation is completed as per SMACNA/DW144 and project standards.
  • Coordinate equipment placement, supports, insulation, and accessories installation.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure proper airflow, alignment, sealing, and finishing.

Site Supervision & Workforce Management

  • Lead a team of technicians, duct fitters, helpers, and subcontractors.
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure manpower productivity.
  • Monitor daily progress and report to the Site Engineer/Project Engineer.
  • Ensure timely material requests and maintain site inventory.

Quality Control & Safety

  • Ensure work is carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks to avoid rework and delays.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure team compliance with HSE standards.

Coordination

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and plumbing teams for smooth work execution.
  • Attend site meetings and communicate project requirements to the workforce.
  • Resolve technical site issues in coordination with the engineering team.

Requirements
Education & Experience

  • Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in HVAC & ducting installation, preferably in GCC.
  • Experience working on high-rise buildings, commercial projects, and industrial facilities.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting fabrication, and installation standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with tools, machinery, and duct fabrication processes.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team-handling abilities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
  • Valid UAE driving license (optional but an advantage).
  • Knowledge of SMACNA, DW144, and related ducting standards.
