We are seeking a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef with 1–3 years of experience to join for a wellness retreat in Calicut.The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in food preparation, kitchen operations, and a willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior chefs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Ensure all ingredients and food items are stored properly and in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations at all times.
- Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations (FSSAI standards).
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Perform basic food prep tasks such as cutting, marinating, portioning, and plating.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary diploma or certification is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Indian, Continental, or specialty cuisine.
- Strong sense of taste and attention to detail.
- Time management and multitasking ability.
