Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Tester to join our QA team. The Tester will be responsible for evaluating software applications and systems to ensure they meet functional, performance, security, and quality standards. You will be involved in all phases of the testing lifecycle, from planning and designing test cases to executing them and reporting defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual and/or automated testing of web, mobile, desktop, or backend applications.
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Perform regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
  • Maintain and enhance test automation scripts (if applicable).
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Generate test reports and provide metrics on test execution and defect resolution.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data through queries.
  • Good understanding of API testing and tools like REST Assured or Postman (if applicable).
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
