**JD for Software Tester**

Result driven s/w tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. He will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the design team. He should possess working knowledge of software and test design, the capability to run through tests, and the ability to analyze the results. Ultimately, he should be result-driven, have good communication skills, and up-to-date knowledge of s/w programming and s/w test design.

As a Security Tester, you will perform authorized penetration tests on computer systems in order to expose weaknesses in their security that could be exploited by criminals/hackers such as:

- Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems
- Device Drivers
- APIs and Web Services
- Network and infrastructures, etc.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out remote testing of a client’s network or on-site testing of their infrastructure to expose weakness in security
- Simulate security breaches to test a system’s relative security
- Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
- Executing tests on s/w usability.
- Analyzing test reports on Database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability.
- Preparing reports on all aspects related to the s/w testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
- Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.

**Requirements**:

- Targeted skills around: Symbolic execution, Device drivers testing, OWASP top 10, Reverse engineering, Brute forcing, Security misconfigurations, Privilege escalation, Injection attacks, Man-in-the-Middle attacks, etc.
- Up-to-date knowledge of s/w test design and testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various s/w programs.
- Working knowledge in programming.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Good organizational skills and detail - oriented mindset.

**Relevant Degree in**:

- Computer science
- Computing and information systems
- Cyber security
- Forensic computing
- Network management
- Computer systems engineering

Along with a relevant degree, if you have one or more professional qualifications would be an added advantage:

- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Certification GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)
- Certification company certification schemes from major vendors and equipments providers like Microsoft (MCP, MCSE) or Cisco (CCNA Security)

**Job Type**: Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹234,988.72 - ₹1,155,851.93 per year
