Role & responsibilities

1. Production Supervision

  • Provide clear instructions to machine operators and job workers for producing components as per engineering drawings and dimension specifications provided by KTA Spindle Toolings.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality and productivity standards.

2. Machine Monitoring & Maintenance Coordination

  • Ensure machines are running smoothly during operations.
  • Immediately inform the maintenance department in case of any breakdowns or abnormalities.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and lubrication of machines on a regular basis.

3. Daily Reporting

  • Maintain a daily activity diary/report, noting all tasks completed and issues faced.
  • Submit daily production reports to the Proprietor/Management.

4. Quality Control & Inspection

  • Conduct inspection of jobs during and after production to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Ensure proper handling, usage, and storage of inspection equipment such as gauges, micrometers, verniers, etc.

5. Shopfloor Management

  • Maintain cleanliness around the machines and general work area.
  • Ensure operators follow proper usage and handling of tools such as inserts, drills, grinding wheels, diamond dressers, etc.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with safety standards.

6. Additional Responsibilities

  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the management from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 4- 5 years of hands-on experience in production supervision within the mechanical/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, machine tools, and tooling components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection tools and techniques.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain discipline and productivity on the shop floor.
