Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of materials and components supplied by vendors meets company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supplier evaluation, quality audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure product conformance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations.

  • Review and approve PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other quality documentation.

  • Develop and maintain quality standards in collaboration with procurement and engineering teams.

  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as PPM, NCRs, and on-time delivery.

  • Handle non-conformities with root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions (CAPA).

  • Work closely with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support new product development (NPD) by ensuring supplier readiness and quality compliance.

  • Maintain strong documentation for traceability and regulatory audits.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier-related issues.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or industry-specific quality standards.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or a related field.

  • Certifications like CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Lead Auditor ISO 9001 are preferred.

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and techniques (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).

  • Experience with problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa diagrams.

  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and GD&T.

  • Hands-on experience in supplier auditing and vendor development.

  • Good command over MS Office, ERP Systems, and quality reporting tools.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.

  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
