Role Description

We are looking for a Supplier-Quality and Development Engineer (SQD) for carrying out the following activities;

  • Lead our customer's Supplier quality development activities with focus on supplier performance, product development as well as quality improvement on existing assortment - for Hydraulic components, Hydraulic Hoses and Pipes.
  • Be responsible for Supplier Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) fulfilment towards legal as well as our customer's Group requirements (ESG)
  • Assess and mitigate risks within the given area of responsibility
  • Develop an industry leading Supplier quality function with focus on group profitability
  • Lead and execute Supplier approval process including Supplier audits
  • Develop, set and work towards defined quality performance targets
  • Maintain and develop Supplier relations
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and take lead within quality related topics
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as countries and business units to strenghten group Supply chain quality development
  • Encourage and identify opportunities quality improvement initiatives throughout the group for continuous improvements, within quality and compliance area, and support implementation
  • Collaborate, take part and lead various projects / activities representing Supply Chain
  • Maintain and develop supplier quality documentation
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to supplier quality and compliance performance and implement contingency plans
  • Implement, lead and maintain value chain process
  • Act as a Superuser for quality related software for Suppply chain

Qualifications

Mandatory :

1) Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

2) Expertise Mechanical Tools like SolidWorks

3) Good communication skills

4) Knowledge in Manufacturing of Hydraulic components including Hoses etc.

Nice to have:

1) Knowledge in DFM, Cost engineering and Make / Buy Analysis

2) Exposure to Finite Element Analysis

3) Experience in PLM

Years of experience:

Minimum : 5 Years

Maximum : 10 Years

Selected engineer is expected to work for our customer in Europe on an exlcusive basis, coordinating directly with their functional teams in Europe and other regions.
