Zema Global Data Corporation is seeking an experienced and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a candidate with approximately 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices, strong expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and a passion for building reliable, scalable systems. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies. You'll work closely with support and development teams to ensure smooth deployments, strengthen system reliability, optimize system performance, and maintain high availability of our cQuant platform.  

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure including AKS/EKS clusters, networking, and security configurations. 
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) and Helm charts. 
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of applications. 
• Manage and optimize Ubuntu 22 VMs, including configuration management, monitoring, and security hardening. 
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform. 
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. 
• Automate routine tasks and processes using Python and Bash scripting. 
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and application architecture. 
• Participate in on-call and incident response procedures. 

Key Qualifications:  

• Education:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.  
• Experience:  5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles. 
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, particularly AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). 
• Deploy and manage EKS clusters using eksctl, AWS CLI, and Terraform. 
• Proven experience managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying applications using Helm. 
• Extensive experience with Linux server administration. 
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab CI. 
• Strong background in infrastructure automation and configuration management. 

Technical Skills:  

• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting for automation and tooling. 
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, container registries). 
•  Strong knowledge of Kubernetes concepts, including deployments, services, ingress, persistent volumes, and RBAC. 
•  Strong experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management and templating. 
• Proficient in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar). 
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and security best practices. 
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Cloudwatch or Azure Monitor). 
• Proficient in Git and GitOps workflows. 
• Working knowledge of database administration (SQL). 
• Bonus: Understanding of Nginx configuration 
• Bonus: Experience with Go programming language. 
• Bonus: Familiarity with and frontend deployment strategies. 
• Soft Skills:  
• Strong problem-solving abilities and systematic debugging approach. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.   
• Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset.
