About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in automating, scaling, and maintaining infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud services, containerization, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and deployment automation, with a strong understanding of software development and system administration best practices.

Role & responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across environments using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.
  • Implement and maintain containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Collaborate with software development, QA, and IT teams to streamline software delivery and deployment.
  • Ensure system security through access controls, firewalls, and monitoring.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.
  • Maintain documentation and best practices for deployment and system operations.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role
  • Proficiency with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, VPN, VPC, load balancing, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKA/CKAD, or similar.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Experience supporting highly available production systems and services.
