Temporary Consultant Digitization of Answer Booklet for Digital Evaluation.

Department: Varsity & Digital Delivery

Location: Client Site (as assigned)

Reporting To: Onsite Project Lead

Duration: Project-based temporary engagement

Role Overview

Temporary Consultants will support the digitization of answer booklets for Digital Evaluation projects. Depending on their category Skilled, Semi-Skilled, or Unskilled they will handle scanning, packet preparation, cutting, racking, and other assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and data confidentiality at all times.

1. Skilled Consultants

Primary Responsibility: Scanning of scripts

- Operate high-volume document scanners (e.g., Fujitsu, Kodak) to scan answer scripts.

- Configure and use scanning templates as per project requirements.

- Monitor scanning to prevent double-feeding or missed pages, and re-scan if necessary.

- Update system records with scanning completion status.

- Maintain equipment in good working condition and follow safety protocols.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Experience in operating high-speed ADF scanners.

- Familiarity with bulk script/OMR sheet handling.

- Basic computer skills for status updates and error logging.

2. Semi-Skilled Consultants

Primary Responsibility: Course-wise script packet receiving and perforation

- Receive and physically count answer script packets from colleges/universities.

- Identify and report any count mismatches to the supervisor immediately.

- Allocate dummy numbers (barcodes) to scripts as per guidelines.

- Create scanning packets of required sizes scripts per packet).

- Perforate and prepare scripts for cutting or scanning as per project requirements.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Experience in handling academic documents or similar bulk materials.

- Ability to follow numbering and packet preparation procedures accurately.

3. Unskilled Consultants

Primary Responsibility: Script cutting, racking, and returning script packets

- Operate under supervision to cut bound scripts using electric cutters.

- Stack and return cut scripts to the designated scanning area.

- Re-staple scripts after scanning and pack them into correct envelopes.

- Arrange packets systematically on racks with proper identification (Rack No., Row No., Column No.).

- Assist in locating and returning packets as required.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Physical ability to handle large volumes of scripts.

- Attention to detail in labeling, racking, and packet arrangement.

General Requirements for All Categories

- Ability to follow instructions and work in a process-driven environment.

- Commitment to data confidentiality and secure handling of examination materials.

- Ability to work under deadlines and in a team-oriented setup.

- Willingness to work extended hours during peak project phases.
