Ecommerce Catalog Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented E-Commerce Catalog Manager to oversee and manage our online product catalog across multiple platforms (Shopify, Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc.). This role is crucial in ensuring accurate product listings, optimizing content for visibility and conversion, and maintaining smooth operations between product, marketing, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Catalog Management
- Create, update, and maintain product listings with accurate titles, descriptions, images, pricing, SKUs, and HSN codes.
- Ensure product categorization and tagging for improved searchability and navigation.
- Manage bulk uploads and updates across marketplaces and Shopify.
- Optimization & SEO
- Write compelling and keyword-rich product descriptions to improve search ranking.
- Optimize product titles, attributes, and meta-data for SEO and marketplace algorithms.
- Regularly audit listings to enhance conversions and reduce returns.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with the marketing team for promotions, campaigns, and seasonal product launches.
- Coordinate with supply chain/operations to ensure stock accuracy and timely updates.
- Liaise with design/branding teams for high-quality product images and A content.
- Performance & Reporting
- Track and analyze catalog performance metrics (clicks, conversions, returns).
- Generate weekly/monthly catalog performance reports.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for new product listings and improvements.
- Compliance
- Ensure all product details adhere to platform policies and government regulations (GST, HSN, labeling requirements).
- Monitor and resolve catalog errors, listing suppressions, or platform compliance warnings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in e-commerce catalog management.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, and other marketplaces.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for catalog bulk uploads and reporting.
