Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Cypress Automation Tester with 67 years of dedicated experience as an Automation QA to focus primarily on API and UI Automation Testing, including performance testing.

The position requires a problem-solver and excellent communicator who will function as the key QA Automation Engineer, assisting both automation and manual testing efforts.

The role demands hands-on technical knowledge of testing Angular Applications and REST APIs, proficiency with tools like Cypress, Cucumber, and Postman, and familiarity with DevOps and cloud environments.

Job Description :

Automation Strategy and Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automation test suites for both API and UI testing using industry-standard frameworks and practices.

- Utilize expert-level skills in testing frameworks, preferably Cypress, along with scripting proficiency in languages like TypeScript and JavaScript.

- Implement Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies using tools like Cucumber to ensure test cases are clear, readable, and align directly with business requirements.

- Mandatorily develop and execute automation tests for REST APIs, leveraging tools such as Postman (or similar API testing platforms) to ensure data integrity and service reliability.

- Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline, integrating automated tests seamlessly into the DevOps workflow.

Performance Testing and Quality Assurance :

- Execute performance testing using tools like JMeter to assess the scalability, stability, and responsiveness of the application under various load conditions.

- Apply knowledge of Angular Application architecture and front-end technologies when designing and debugging UI automation scripts.

- Actively assist with manual testing efforts as required, applying deep domain knowledge to exploratory testing and complex scenario verification.

- Collaborate effectively within the team, sharing best practices, conducting peer reviews, and contributing to overall code and quality standards.

- Troubleshoot and analyze defects, performing root cause analysis (RCA) and working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Collaboration and Technical Environment :

- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the DevOps environment, including source control and release management practices.

- Utilize skills in cloud technologies and tools like Google Dev Tools for debugging and performance analysis.

- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams, providing clear, concise reports on test progress, defect status, and risks.

- Demonstrate a collaborative approach, actively engaging in problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Mandatory 6 Years of specific experience as an automation QA.

- Core Languages : Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (desirable skills).

- Testing Tools : Experience with Cypress (preferred), Cucumber, and Postman.

- Application Knowledge : Knowledge of specific systems including Angular Application and Rest API.

- Methodology : Knowledge of DevOps principles and integrating automation into CI/CD.

- Education : BE/BTech/MTech/MCA.

Preferred Skills :

- Performance Tools : Experience with JMeter for performance testing.

- Alternative Tools : Experience with Puppeteer or Protractor.

- Backend Languages : Knowledge of Golang or NodeJs.

- Cloud & DevOps : Familiarity with Cloud technologies and Google Dev Tools.

- Soft Skills : Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, and proven teamwork capabilities.
