Key Responsibilities

  • Perform
    API testing (HTTP, MQTT)
    to validate backend and device-level communication.
  • Conduct
    firmware testing
    to ensure smooth integration of IoT devices with backend services.
  • Design and execute
    test cases
    for functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
  • Automate regression scenarios using
    Python/Robot Framework
    .
  • Validate data flow between backend services and IoT devices.
  • Troubleshoot API issues, verify payloads, headers, and responses.
  • Log, track, and follow up on defects using defect management tools.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong experience in
    API testing
    (Postman, curl, or similar).
  • Hands-on knowledge of
    MQTT protocol
    and publish-subscribe model.
  • Proficiency in
    HTTP protocol
    (methods, attributes, payloads, status codes).
  • Experience in
    IoT device testing
    and backend integration.
  • Understanding of
    firmware testing
    for embedded/IoT devices.
