We are seeking a Cloud Specialist: Data Modeller to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data models in cloud environments. Your primary focus will be to ensure that our data architectures are robust, scalable, and efficient, facilitating enhanced data analysis and business intelligence. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models that meet both current and future needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and create data models that support cloud data warehouse and analytics solutions.
  • Implement ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to gather and analyze data requirements.
  • Optimize existing data models for performance and scalability.
  • Ensure data security and compliance in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Monitor and maintain data models and related systems to ensure reliability and availability.
  • Create detailed documentation of data schemas, models, and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and tools related to data modeling and cloud technologies.

Skills and Tools Required:

  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, techniques, and tools.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache Nifi).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and optimize database performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data governance and data management practices.
