Location: Gurgaon
Job Description:
We are looking for a Backup Administrator with over 8 years of experience to join our team in Gurgaon. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring backup alerts, identifying failures, and resolving issues using standard operating procedures (SOPs) with Lead experience as L3 Support. A basic understanding of backup processes and tools, especially Commvault, is required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Monitor daily backup jobs and alerts.
• Identify and troubleshoot backup failures.
• Follow SOPs to resolve backup-related issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate teams.
• Perform regular health checks on backup systems.
• Maintain backup logs and documentation.
• Work with the team to ensure data protection and recovery readiness.
• Have basic working knowledge of Commvault and backup processes.
Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in backup administration.
• Hands-on experience with backup tools (Commvault preferred).
• Basic understanding of backup job configurations and policies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
