Role and Responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  1. Product Planning: Utilize the ERP system to create accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensure error-free planning.
  2. Work Allocation: Allocate tasks based on the competency of individuals to optimize production capacity.
  3. Forecast Planning: Collaborate with the sales and management teams to coordinate forecasting activities.
  4. Coordination and Workflow: Liaise with the purchase, store, and production teams to ensure a smooth workflow.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels to strengthen the supply chain.
  6. Production Workflow: Coordinate the workflow of one or multiple products, ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery.
  7. Resource Planning: Determine the required manpower, equipment, and raw materials to meet production demand.
  8. Operational Efficiency: Assign workers and staff to specific planning operations, identifying and addressing any delays.
  9. Process Improvement: Develop processes to enhance machine and manpower efficiency.
  10. Procurement Planning: Prepare material procurement plans and issue schedules to the purchasing team.
  11. Reporting and Analysis: Compile status and performance reports, submitting them to management in a timely manner.
  12. Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between planned and actual performance, analyzing areas for improvement.
  13. Material Shortages: Proactively address raw material shortages and consumables, ensuring uninterrupted production.
  14. Continuous Improvement: Track material shortages and implement immediate resolutions, while taking corrective actions for future prevention.
  15. Work Center Monitoring: Objectively monitor all work centers and initiate corrective action plans.
  16. Shop Floor Coordination: Collaborate with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve material-related issues.

Desired candidate profile: The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  1. Diploma/BE in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a machine manufacturing company.
  2. Strong background in supply chain management.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft tools.
  4. Team-oriented and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to taking on new initiatives.
  5. Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset.
  6. Ability to review existing planning processes and suggest improvements.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
