PURPOSE OF THE ROLE;

A two-to-three-line statement outlining the objective or the reason for which the job exists. The Senior Product Manager for Liabilities Products is responsible for the strategic development, management, and commercialization of the banks retail deposit and liabilities product portfolio (e.g., Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, etc.,) as well as implement related policies/ processes. This role independently drives product innovation, profitability, and customer engagement by aligning product strategies with market needs, regulatory requirements, and the banks overall objectives. The Senior Product Manager collaborates cross functionally with sales, marketing, IT, risk, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless product development, launch, and lifecycle management within the ambit of regulatory guidelines .

Responsiblities.

Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for liabilities products to maximize profitability, customer adoption, and market competitiveness.

  1. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and opportunities for new or enhanced deposit products.

  2. Design product/ program/ process roadmaps, defining features, pricing, and positioning to meet business objectives and customer expectations while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

  3. Lead the ideation, design, and development of new liabilities products, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and bank policies.

  4. Oversee end-to-end product commercialization, including product launches, marketing campaigns, and sales enablement.

  5. Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling product narratives, customer disclosures, and promotional materials.

Develop and implement GTM strategies, ensuring effective communication of product value to customers and internal stakeholders.

  1. Train sales and customer service teams on product features, benefits, and onboarding processes to drive adoption and customer satisfaction.

  2. Monitor and analyze key performance parameters such as deposit volumes, product penetration, net interest income (NII), non-interest revenue (NIR), and customer retention.

  3. Conduct financial analysis to assess product profitability, forecast returns, and manage costs.

  4. Drive innovation by exploring new technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain) and digital trends to enhance deposit products and services.
