Role Overview
The PR & Media Executive will play a pivotal role in strengthening IPE Global's external visibility and positioning by proactively managing relationships with media houses, journalists, and influencers.
The role requires a dynamic professional with proven media connections and the ability to craft compelling narratives that highlight IPE Global's work, thought leadership, and social impact.
Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Build, nurture, and leverage strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets (print, digital, and electronic).
- Proactively secure high-quality media coverage, interviews, and features for the organization and its leadership.
- Draft press releases, op-eds, statements, media briefs, and other communication material.
- Manage media queries and act as the first point of contact for press and external communications.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports on visibility, tone, and reach.
- Support crisis communication management with quick and accurate responses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align media messaging with organizational objectives.
- Organize press conferences, media roundtables, and other PR events.
- Stay updated on sectoral trends and identify opportunities for thought leadership positioning.
- Manage and update Group's PR & Media policy.
Mandatory Requirement
- Strong, verifiable connections with media professionals across mainstream and sectoral outlets (business, social impact, health, education, and development-focused publications).
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant PR/media relations experience, preferably in development, consulting, or corporate communications.
- Proven track record of securing impactful media placements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi/other regional languages will be an advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver within tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
