Position Summary -

The Accountant – Taxation is responsible for managing tax-related activities including tax computation, filing, compliance, documentation, and assisting in audits. The role ensures accurate and timely tax submissions while adhering to statutory regulations and supporting the organization's financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities -

Tax Compliance & Filing

  • Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and Income Tax returns (individual & corporate).
  • Ensure timely payment of taxes and statutory dues.
  • Reconcile GST input/output, TDS, and advance tax.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audits.

Tax Calculations & Reporting

  • Compute monthly, quarterly, and annual tax liabilities.
  • Assist in preparation of tax reports, schedules, and financial statements.
  • Review tax provisions and ensure compliance with current regulations.
  • Support management with tax estimates, planning, and forecasts.

Audit & Assessment Support

  • Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments.
  • Prepare required documentation and respond to notices from tax authorities.
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and government departments as needed.

Accounting & Reconciliation

  • Handle general accounting tasks related to taxation.
  • Reconcile ledger accounts related to GST, TDS, and other statutory expenses.
  • Verify vendor invoices and ensure correct tax deduction and credit.

Regulatory Updates & Compliance

  • Stay updated with changes in tax laws, GST rules, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate regulatory updates to the finance team.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutory guidelines and internal controls.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience -

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).
  • 1–5 years of experience in taxation, accounting, or finance.
  • Experience with GST, TDS, and Income Tax is essential.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems) and MS Excel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22, ₹25,000.00 per month
