Role Overview

We are seeking a
highly analytical and intellectually curious Equity Research Analyst

to join our investment team. This role demands deep primary and secondary research capability, strong quantitative understanding, and the ability to generate independent investment ideas.

The analyst is expected to dedicate a
minimum of 4 hours daily outside of working hours

to reading, research, and independent idea building, a core part of Piper Serica's culture of continuous learning and insight generation.

Key Responsibilities-

  • Conduct in-depth research on industries and companies to support investment decisions.
  • Perform global and domestic industry analysis, including value chain and ecosystem mapping.
  • Lead primary research through channel checks, plant visits, and management interactions.
  • Build robust financial models with strong quantitative and valuation understanding.
  • Actively contribute to
    idea generation

- Maintain and expand
a strong network of buy-side and sell-side analysts

- Draft and present stock update notes, investment memos, and research reports
- Represent the firm at investor meets, industry events, and conferences

Qualifications & Attributes-

  • 2–3 years of experience in equity research, consulting, or related analytical roles
  • Graduate degree; post-graduation or CFA (preferred)
  • Excellent command of numbers, financial modelling, and business analysis
  • Strong qualitative judgment and ability to connect macro trends to company fundamentals
  • Well-networked within the
    equity research and investment community (buy-side/sell-side)
  • Habitual reader with a genuine interest in markets, businesses, and long-term investing
  • High integrity, intellectual curiosity, and a self-driven learning mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
