The investment professional will join a close-knit research team contributing to the CIO's efforts to of identifying good businesses. This role requires a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. The ideal candidate will be one who possesses a blend of analytical thinking, curiosity, and passion for equities and is a self starter in bringing research ideas to actionable outcomes and decisions.

Fortress Group is seeking an equity research associate / analyst in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector to be part of our research team.

Our company is looking for someone who has a passion for investment research and understands business models. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is a self-starter & comfortable working independently. The candidate would have experience in consulting or equity research, with a focus on chemicals & API.

Responsibilities-

  • Work in partnership with other analysts to conduct extensive company and industry research.
  • Build and maintain detailed company financial models, analyse industry data, and develop sector databases.
  • Review annual reports, financial filings, trade publications, and other sources to gather, synthesize and interpret data.
  • Prepare an accurate valuation of the company from historical data, company interactions & projections done by the analyst.
  • Have the capability to summarize information from several sources into crisp decision making & actionable insights.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements-

  • CA (Degree holder) or CFA (Level 3 passed) having 3 – 5 years of experience in research.
  • Relevant experience with focus on chemicals & pharmaceuticals in equity research (either front or back end), consulting or any other finance role.
  • Proficient at financial modelling and demonstrates strong analytical and financial skills.
  • Ability to source and process information independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Candidate should be based out of Mumbai or have strong preference for this location.
