Network Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer with 10–12 years of hands-on expertise in managing firewall platforms including Checkpoint, Fortinet, and Cloud-based Firewalls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade security solutions across hybrid and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, strong protection, and optimal network performance.

The resource will work closely with the Network Proxy and Load Balancer teams to bridge the architectural and operational gaps between modern cloud-native infrastructure and legacy systems. This includes identifying inconsistencies, optimizing traffic flow, and aligning security policies across platforms.

Remediation & Solution Roadmap

• Assessment & Discovery
• Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing proxy and load balancer configurations across legacy and modern environments
• Identify mismatches in routing logic, SSL handling, session persistence, and access control policies
• Document dependencies, performance bottlenecks, and compliance gaps
• Gap Analysis
• Compare legacy configurations with modern standards (e.g., cloud-native load balancing, zero trust proxy models)
• Highlight areas of technical debt, outdated protocols, and manual processes
• Evaluate impact on security, scalability, and user experience
• Remediation Planning
• Define a phased migration strategy to modernize proxy and load balancer logic
• Develop standardized templates and automation scripts for consistent policy enforcement
• Align firewall rules, proxy filters, and load balancing algorithms with enterprise security goals
• Implementation & Integration
• Reconfigure proxy and load balancer components to support hybrid traffic flows
• Integrate with centralized management platforms for unified control and visibility
• Ensure seamless interoperability between legacy systems and cloud-native services
• Validation & Testing
• Perform rigorous testing of new configurations in staging environments
• Validate performance improvements, failover behavior, and security posture
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and rollback planning
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer
• Maintain detailed documentation of changes, configurations, and decision rationale
• Train operations teams on new workflows and monitoring tools
• Establish governance models for ongoing policy updates and audits
• Continuous Optimization
• Monitor system performance and security metrics post-deployment
• Refine configurations based on evolving business needs and threat landscape
• Schedule regular audits to ensure sustained compliance and efficiency
• Security Architecture & Design
• Design robust security frameworks integrating firewalls, VPNs, and network controls

· Align solutions with enterprise security objectives and scalability needs

• Centralized Policy Management

Administer firewall policies and controls via centralized management platforms

Ensure consistent enforcement across distributed environments

• Technical Support & Availability

Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support

Participate in off-hours coverage and 24x7 on-call rotation for critical issues

• Cross-Team Collaboration for Audit & Optimization

Partner with Proxy and Load Balancer teams to execute thorough audits and performance assessments

Develop and implement remediation roadmaps to strengthen overall security posture

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
