Job Family Definition:

Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers' business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers' businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company's solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organization's profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Network & Security Engineer with 4+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise networks and security controls. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and protection of hybrid/cloud environments while aligning with enterprise security standards. The candidate will work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure and resilient network services.

What you'll do:

  • Network Administration

  • Configure and manage LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall environments.

  • Maintain routing, switching, and load balancing for enterprise networks.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and optimize throughput.
  • Security Operations

  • Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, and network security appliances.

  • Implement and monitor network access controls, RBAC, and Zero Trust policies.
  • Support vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation activities.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Security

  • Configure and secure cloud networking services (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP VPC).

  • Apply security groups, NACLs, and micro-segmentation in cloud-native platforms.
  • Integrate on-premises and cloud networks securely.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential threats.

  • Use SIEM/SOAR platforms for log correlation and incident response.
  • Provide escalation support for network and security incidents.
  • Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work with application and DevOps teams for secure connectivity in CI/CD environments.

  • Document network diagrams, security configurations, and operational runbooks.
  • Contribute to security audits, compliance checks, and governance processes.

What you need to bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in network and security engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing protocols.
  • Hands-on with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point), load balancers (F5, HAProxy).
  • Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and log monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Scripting/automation knowledge (Python, Bash, Ansible) is an advantage.

Preferred Knowledge

  • Exposure to container networking and security (Kubernetes CNI, service mesh).
  • Knowledge of PKI, SSL certificates, and key management.
  • Experience with zero trust networking and micro-segmentation.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications:

  • CCNA / CCNP / CCSP.

  • Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto PCNSE.
  • Cloud networking/security certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).

NOTE—The work location for this position will be at our customer site in MYSORE
