Position Summary

At Harness, marketing and communications leaders shape how our brand is experienced across regions. Our team drives strategy, storytelling, and engagement to ensure Harness is recognized as the leading AI DevOps platform.

We're hiring our first dedicated marketing and communications manager in India. This person will own end-to-end marketing in the region – from strategy to execution – and will be instrumental in building Harness' brand presence locally. You'll lead communications, digital campaigns, events, and employer branding – ensuring Harness is recognized as a destination for top talent in India – while also managing a local marketing agency and working closely with global teams to adapt programs for the Indian market.

About the Role

• Lead Harness's marketing and communications programs in India, ensuring alignment with global business priorities.
• Champion employer branding programs that showcase Harness's technical excellence, AI leadership, and engineering culture to attract and retain top talent.
• Build Harness's share of voice in India across digital media, LinkedIn, press, and engineering communities.
• Develop content and campaigns highlighting product innovation, AI initiatives, and Harness engineering culture. 
• Manage and oversee a local marketing agency, ensuring deliverables align with Harness's brand standards and objectives.
• Plan and execute regional events, including conferences, meetups, and community activations, to drive awareness and engagement.
• Collaborate with India leadership and global marketing to adapt messaging and campaigns for local impact.
• Support internal communications and employee branding programs to strengthen culture and engagement.
  
  

About You

• 7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, ideally in B2B technology or SaaS.
• Proven ability to own both strategy and hands-on execution.
• Experience leading marketing in India for a global brand, with a strong understanding of localization and alignment with global strategy.
• Strong expertise in digital marketing, content, and social media (especially LinkedIn).
• Strong relationships with Indian technology media and familiarity with the regional ecosystem.
• Experience managing marketing agencies, vendors, and PR partners.
• Background in employer branding, employee communications, and talent marketing.
• Demonstrated success running high-impact events.
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills. 
• Collaborative self-starter who thrives in a global, fast-paced, high-growth environment.
