Job Details

The Analyst will work on a project-based assignment supporting the preparation of various strategic and technical documents—including Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), project reports, research reports, feasibility studies, concept notes, white papers, and sector assessments—in the space and defence domain. The role demands strong analytical skills, structured technical writing capabilities, and familiarity with aerospace and defence technologies, policy frameworks, and industry developments. Based on performance, the candidate may be considered for a full-time position at the end of the project.

Note: This is a project-based role for 6 months. Exceptional performance during the project period may result in an offer for a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Sector Assessment

  • Conduct research on global and national advancements in space and defence technologies, missions, and industry developments.

  • Analyse technology trends, industry capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Prepare benchmarking studies, comparative analyses, and market/technical insights.

  • Contribute to thematic research notes and sectoral studies.

2. Report Preparation & Technical Documentation

  • Draft structured content for DPRs, project reports, feasibility studies, white papers, and policy/technical notes.

  • Prepare sections covering project rationale, technology landscape, implementation plans, operational frameworks, financial estimates, and risk assessments.

  • Develop clear, accurate, and data-backed research reports with relevant visualisation inputs.

  • Create supporting materials such as presentations, annexures, briefs, and summaries.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams, domain experts, and external industry/technical bodies for data collection and validation.

  • Consolidate feedback, track documentation updates, and maintain version control.

  • Assist in organising discussions, meetings, review sessions, and technical consultations.

4. Data Analysis & Documentation Management

  • Maintain datasets, research repositories, and reference libraries.

  • Support preparation of basic technical, operational, and financial models (training will be provided if needed).

  • Ensure adherence to documentation standards, consistency, and confidentiality.

  • Assist with data structuring, cleaning, and interpretation for analytical sections.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.

  • Ability to synthesise complex information into structured, clear documentation.

  • Understanding of aerospace, defence, or advanced technology sectors (preferred).

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work under tight timelines.

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and adaptable.

  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Science / Aerospace / Defence Studies / Public Policy or related fields.

  • Exposure to research, technical documentation, or consulting work is an advantage.
